Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about CircularSaver — flyers, prices, recipes, and your account.
What is CircularSaver?
CircularSaver helps Quebec shoppers compare grocery flyer prices, browse digital flyers, build smart grocery lists, and get recipe ideas within their budget.
Is the service free?
Yes — browsing flyers and basic features are free. Premium adds advanced tools and an ad-free experience. See the Subscription page for details.
Where do prices come from?
Prices are collected from retailer flyers (PDFs and other sources). They reflect weekly promotions and may differ in store. You can report an incorrect price from a product card.
How are nutrition facts shown?
We only display verified data from Open Food Facts, Canada's Food Composition Database (CNF), or USDA when a reliable match exists. Otherwise we show “unavailable” — we never invent ingredients or nutrition.
How do diet and allergy settings work?
In Profile → Settings you can set allergies, dietary regimes, and weekly budget. Search and suggestions respect these preferences. You can also complete the optional questionnaire after sign-up.
Are articles and help pages public?
Yes. Practical articles, the FAQ, the About page, and legal pages are available without an account. Personalized tools (saved lists, assisted recipes, preferences) require sign-in.
How does CircularSaver handle privacy?
We follow Quebec’s Law 25. Non-essential cookies (analytics, ads) are only enabled with your consent. See Privacy and Cookies for details.
How do I cancel Premium?
Go to Profile → Settings → Subscription and use “Cancel subscription”, or contact us if you need help.
